Engaging youth in mental health research in the COVID-19 pandemic context via a youth co-design arts-based approach.

2022-03-01 to 2024-02-28

The purpose of this study is to involve youth as co-researchers in co-designing, implementing, and evaluating a new arts-based method (ABM) approach that promotes best practices to applying ABM in an online environment for use in a youth mental health study. Youth (14-24 years) are invited to take part in two virtual interviews as well as create artwork of their choice (e.g., taking pictures, recording a short video, drawing, painting, dancing, writing a poem/song, or body mapping) that represents their mental health experiences during the COVID-19 era.
